Abstract Guidelines

General Guidelines :

  • SGEI invites “Endoscopy related abstracts” for the Plenary session of “Endocon 2025”.
  • Abstract must be written in the English language - title, abstract text, names of the authors, affiliations, tables, figures, and graphs.
  • Abstract should contain original material that has neither been published nor presented earlier at national/international conference at the time of submission.
  • It is the authors' responsibility to review, proofread, and approve their submissions for format, form, and language before the submission deadline.
  • Last to to submit to submit abstract is 15th May 2025

Abstract structure & character limit:

  • For each abstract, only a maximum of 10 authors are allowed including the presenting author.
  • Author and co-authors' affiliation should contain the name of the institution, city, and country.
  • The abstract text should be informative but concise and should be divided into the following headings:
    • Background/ Aim
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  • Only ONE table, figure or graph (any of the three) is allowed for each abstract. This must be cited in the abstract text, with the word limit not exceeding 300 words.
  • A figure or graph can be uploaded separately in our submission system either in the JPEG or PNG file format. The maximum file size of each figure/graph is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixels.
  • No more than five keywords are allowed for each abstract.
  • The abstracts should be related to ‘Endoscopy’.

Others:

  • A confirmation e-mail on the receipt of the abstract will be automatically sent to the corresponding author. Please ensure you have provided a valid email account during submission. SGEI will not be responsible for any missed-out information if the correct email is not provided.
  • You may need to check the spam mail folder if you don’t receive any emails from us.
  • The presenting author needs to be registered for the Conference for the final poster to be displayed.
  • All the accepted abstracts would be published in the Journal of Digestive Endoscopy and would receive e-Certificates.
  • There would be exciting awards for the top 3 Plenary, Oral & Posters.
  • Details of your session will be notified by email & will be made available on the meeting website.

Poster Specifications:

General specifications:

  • The poster will be displayed on standard Portrait Format.
  • File format should be High Resolution JPEG.
  • Single JPEG should be sent.
  • Poster should be in 16:9 (with around 300 dpi), portrait orientation.
  • Animation/movies/sounds will not be supported; please submit in a static JPEG (Not GIF or any other format).
  • Illustrations/images/photographs used in the E-poster should be enlarged enough to show relevant details.

Video Presentation Guidelines:

  • Videos should highlight clinical examples of specific endoscopic technique, management, complications or interesting case. Confirmed presenters will participate in their assigned session in ENDOCON -2025, Jaipur by presenting their video.
  • Video examples should not exceed 5 min video and 2 min Q & A, and must be submitted as an MP4 file.
  • Scientific Program Video Submissions are NOT intended to challenge or puzzle the faculty, video cases are intended to highlight specific clinical techniques or cases that enhance the learnings of the session.
  • Disclosure for the presenter - Only video submissions with a fully completed presenter disclosure will be considered.
  • Upload of video submission - Multiple submissions should be uploaded individually, one upload per video file.

Oral Plenary Session Guidelines:

  • Plenary Session: Upload the full manuscript including the abstract, figures, and tables in a single file in PDF format. The paper won't be taken into consideration for the Plenary session if the full manuscript is missing
